We can provide access for our client to access their information in real-time. All the data is encrypted and protected by multi-factor authentication. Clients can access this information at any time, day or night.

How much does it cost to make a website?

The cost of setting up each website depends on several factors. These include the number of pages and subpages, the interactivity you require and most significantly, eCommerce functionality. We invest time into every project to fully understand your needs before providing an estimate. Generally, we recommend a budget starting from $5,000 for a standard business website.

How long does it take to make a website?

It usually takes about 6-8 weeks to build a website. This depends on the planning and design stages of the website project. To ensure it is made to a good standard and on time, supply of content, content review and planning of the information architecture (I/A) and design concepts are major factors that will dictate the delivery time.

What is a CMS and which one do I choose?

A Content Management System (CMS) manages all elements of your website. Such as files, dashboards, images, CSS, HTML and more. Our preference is WordPress as it is a popular choice within the Web design & development Industry. A WordPress site also makes it easy for you to update your site in the future without having to engage a professional. However, we can build websites on other CMS' if needed (e.g., Shopify for eCommerce).

Do I have to be local to work with ShowellTech?

No! You can be anywhere in Australia, or the world. We regularly work with clients from all over Sydney, Nowra, Batemans Bay, Wollongong, Shellharbour and Australia-wide. The only requirement is that you have a reliable internet connection to ensure we can easily communicate and collaborate online.

Where will my Website be hosted?

At ShowellTech we have dedicated Australian based servers to host your website. If you already have hosting, that's ok, we can work with your existing setup and host your website there.

Can I update my website myself when it's finished?

Yes, most certainly! We build websites to be self-administered and easily managed by you. There is always the option to self-manage or continue to engage us to manage your site for you.

Computer repairs FAQs

How long does it take to fix my computer?

There is no hard-and-fast timeframe. The repair time will depend on several factors. These include whether parts are required, the actual issue with the device and how many repairs we have at the time. We endeavour to complete repairs on a first in – first out basis and as quickly as possible.

My data is gone. What are the chances you can get it back?

Depending on the damage or reason your data is missing we are able to retrieve the missing data. Where the data is not readily recoverable, we work with a specialist lab to retrieve the data.

How do I know if my computer is worth fixing?

While at surface level it can be an expensive proposition to repair your computer it can often be the most cost-effective solution. However, if we believe your device is not worthy, we will advise you before you make any further investment in repairs.

Do you charge a deposit or diagnostic fees?

There is a non-refundable $50 diagnostic fee. This fee is payable at the time the device is left for servicing. The fee covers the technician's time to determine the issue and quote the repair. If you proceed to repair, the $50 is attributed to the final cost payable.

My computer is more than five years old. Can you still fix it?

Many old computers continue to work effectively and can be repaired. We will advise if we believe yours is past its use-by-date.

Do you offer payment options?

All repairs must be paid for at the time of collection. At this stage we do not offer after pay style options. We accept all major credit cards and cash as well as the option for bank transfer. Tax invoices are available for all repairs (please advise when you arrive).

Do you offer a warranty on repairs?

We offer a six-month warranty on all services. All parts are purchased for your specific repair and come with a manufacturer or supplier warranty with varying timeframes dependent on the part.

Do you repair Macs?

Our technicians are skilled in both Mac and PC and offer a full repair service including resolving hardware and software issues.
